Reproduction of one of the illustrations from the very first Babar adventure album, "Babar the Elephant" published in 1931. The famous character was created by Cécile de Brunhoff when she was telling stories to her children in the evening. Later, her husband Jean brought the little elephant to life by illustrating the very first Babar adventure album for their children.
