Reproduction of one of the illustrations from one of the first albums of Babar's adventures, "Babar's Travels," published in 1932. The famous character was created by Cécile de Brunhoff when she told stories to her children in the evening. Later, her husband Jean brought the little elephant to life by illustrating the very first Babar adventure album for their children.
